Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Care/Groomer (Female) who is a true dog lover and knowledgeable in all aspects of dog care. The primary responsibility will be to take care of two dogs (with plans to expand to five), ensuring they receive the highest level of love and attention. This includes regular cooking of natural, nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs, walking them for exercise, grooming to maintain their appearance, and prepping them for shows to keep them in top condition. The role also involves sourcing information and services for other dogs in different countries and possibly traveling within India for various dog shows. All work is to be carried out with love and respect, as the dogs are treated like part of the family.
In addition to dog care, there will also be responsibilities related to caring for two large birds. This includes regular feeding, cleaning their living area, and ensuring they are comfortable and healthy.
The job is located in India and will involve working for a lovely family of five, alongside 11 existing staff members who contribute to a harmonious living environment.
Responsibilities
Provide attentive, loving, and knowledgeable care for the dogs, treating them as part of the family.
Cook and serve regular, nutritious, and natural meals specific to the dogs’ dietary preferences.
Walk the dogs daily to ensure they get the necessary exercise and socialization.
Groom the dogs to maintain their aesthetics and health, ensuring they are ready for shows.
Prepare and train the dogs for participation in shows, keeping them in top condition based on show standards.
Source and coordinate with other services for dogs in different countries, ensuring all needs are met.
Engage in occasional travel within India for dog shows, supporting the family's participation in various competitions.
Care for two large birds
Provide regular feeding, cleaning of their living area, and maintaining an enriching environment for their well-being, demonstrating the same love and commitment as with the dogs.
Maintain an organized routine to ensure the needs of both the dogs and birds are met efficiently, allowing for flexibility and free time when tasks are performed properly.
Requirements
Female preferred.
A deep love and understanding of dogs, their behaviors, and their care requirements.
Proven knowledge and skills in grooming, nutrition, and preparation of dogs for shows.
Familiarity with caring for birds is a plus, with an understanding of their specific needs and habitat maintenance.
Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure all tasks are carried out efficiently.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team of existing staff.

Salary: Starting at $2000 - $2500 depending on experience and qualifications.
